so lately I've been in a rather creative rut. I thought learning a new stitch or scrolling through Pinterest would help get the creative juices flowing but it didn't.
Still it wasn't without its used.. I had an abundance of paper left over from my recent commission and lots of books to make. I looked through the cut files I had on my cameo and then slowly an idea began to formulate.
First I picked the papers for my covers and decided on this lovely floral pattern and a matching solid red for the back:
I looked through my cut files and decided to go a similar themed doily with birds and flowers and cut that out on my cameo:
after cutting it, I proceeded to cover it in gesso and then paint it black. After the paint dried, I used my Perfect Pearls midst to give it shine and make it match the colors of the cover a bit and then to top it all off, I covered the whole thing with glossy accents! I can't wait for it to dry!
After it dries, I'm going to stick it on the cover and then put the whole thing together so stay tuned for part two!
