We've all told them. We've all have had them been told to us. Whether it's something as small and as harmless as a white lie or something bigger. I often wonder why we do it? I know that some people can't help it and that there's something wrong with their brains that makes unable to do anything but lie.
I personally lie when I'm nervous, I lie when I'm backed into a corner, it's a sort of defense mechanism of mine and not a very good one at that. People lie for malicious intents from little things to big things and sometimes they give little white lies that seem harmless but might be damaging in the long run.
I can't really sit here and say 'don't lie, it's bad!'. We're all guilty of it at some point in our lives. Maybe we should work on doing it less? Can a society really function on 100% honesty? I think 100% honesty, brutal honesty, might actually destroy us than be good for us but who knows really?
