Games are great! Who doesn't love a good game? There's nothing like getting together with family or friends and gather around a good game be it a game of cards, a board game or even video games!
Today, I'm going to list some of my favorite games, so let's get to it!
Gloom is a wonderfully, morbid, frightening, hilarious game of cards and story building. The main objective of this game, unlike most games, is in order to win, you have to kill off your family members and make them as miserable as possible. You cripple your opponent by giving their family members a good time.
In your hand of cards, there are prompts to set you off on your story, giving reasons to why and how this happened to the family member.
This game can get easily be filled with hilariously tragic stories that make you feel for your character and make you bust out laughing at their horrendous circumstance. It quickly turns into a competition to see who can make up the funniest, most tragic story for how their character dies.
2. Betrayal on House on The Hill
This game is a rather interesting one. If you love a good co-op/roleplaying game with a B-Movie style type of horror with plenty of twists then you'll love this game. Betrayal on House on The Hill stars a handful of people that have decided to investigate an abandoned house atop of a hill.
This game takes a bit to set up and takes a bit of time to play through, at least the first half. You go around exploring rooms and gathering items but be careful, he who starts the haunt is branded a traitor and so the co-op quickly turns into a game of survival.
This game has massive replay-ability and each time it's set up, you get a different outcome every time.
This adorable game. Oh my god. This game is a house favorite I have to say. This game stars a hungry panda, an aggravated farmer and lots of colorful bamboo.
Also, a sort of deck building game, the point is to complete the tasks shown on your card whether it's growing bamboos, getting bamboos eaten or farming extra plots. The number of tasks to finish depends on the number of players and the first one to finish their tasks gets the special Emperor card that wins them extra points.
It's a lovely game, lots of fun and very easy to pick up.
Tokaido is a beautiful game set in Japan. You play as travels, traveling along the wonderful east sea road, meeting people along your way, staying in various hotels, enjoying the market place and marveling the beautiful landscapes you come across.
It's a very linear, easy going game of building collections and depending on what collection you build, you win points. Very simple, very straight forward.
So, here you go! These are some of my favorite games! What are your favorite games?
