Quitting, to abandon. To give up from something and walk away. Taking an exit on something.
Is it ever a good thing to quit? Sometimes it's seen as recognizing a failure and doing your best to learn from it but a lot of times people view quitters and quitting as a negative thing. I think it builds this false sense of need to perfect everything, mostly driven by the need to fit in with society's standard of 'greatness'.
Then again, there are many who argue the opposite where forgiving the act of quitting and justifying it might instill this habit of never finishing what you start. It implies that you'd rather walk away from something because it's the easy way out rather than spend the few hours, days or even sometimes year to acquire what you want.
The stigma of quitting, I think, creates even more stress when one is already stuck in a stressful situation; be it a job you hate or a class you regret taking or just isn't working for you among a few other things.
What do you think about quitting? Agree? Disagree? Neutral? What's your perspective on it?
